Siri Hollander

Surrounded by horses as a child in Andalusia, Spain and influenced by an artistic family background, Siri Hollander began sculpting at the age of seventeen.  After apprenticing with several accomplished sculptors both in America and Spain, she began her own work focusing equally on Cement/Steel and Bronze.  Horses and other animals were a natural direction for her work to follow. Surrounded by horses as a child and witnessing the fighting bulls of Spain gave her an instinct for the inherent drama of these animals.  The characteristic rough texture and movement of line make Siri's work easily identifiable in both the cement/steel and bronze mediums.
