Martha Mans
| Martha Mans, an
astute and creative artist and teacher, paints watercolors and
oil paintings. Her subjects are figurative and landscapes
of the Southwest, Caribbean, Italy and France. "The subject matter is not important - what's important is the pattern and design that I see," she explains. Whether painting a figure or a landscape, the first thing Mans does is create a loose drawing. To her, this is the most enjoyable part of the whole process, probably because it is also the most spontaneous. It is important to the artist that the viewer of her paintings feel the energy and excitement that she feels about the scene. She lives and works in Colorado. |
