from the outset, Sandra was born in Montclair, NJ, but raised
in the south of France, with her English mother, an art-lover,
who named her after Sandro Botticelli. As a young child, she
was surrounded and influenced by artists, both well-known (such
as Pablo Picasso, Fernand Leger, Claude Schurr, et al) and unknown.
The beauty of the Mediterranean region also contributed to her
passion to draw and paint. She traveled the world, including
the United States during some of her college years, married
an internationally renown musician and moved to Iran.
Sandra continued her art education, at Tehran School of Art,
after having graduated from the Academie Julien, in Paris.
Inspired by Colorado’s scenic beauty, she started her landscape
series in 1998, when she moved to Colorado Springs. In addition
to the landscapes, she also paints works that show another dimension
of art. |
